What You’ll Do
Build scalable backend architectures powering mobile applications
Design and implement REST and GraphQL APIs with high reliability
Work closely with mobile teams (iOS and Android) to create smooth end to end experiences
Develop secure authentication, authorization and server driven logic
Optimize performance, latency, caching and database queries
Own deployments, monitoring and CI/CD pipelines
Troubleshoot production issues and maintain high uptime
Move fast while keeping architecture clean and maintainable
Tech Stack Experience Needed
Node.js or Go (primary backend stack)
PostgreSQL or MongoDB
Redis for caching and queue systems
GraphQL or REST API design
AWS or GCP (Lambda, EC2, S3, Cloud Functions)
Docker + CI/CD (Github Actions, GitLab or similar)
Understanding of server driven UI for mobile apps is a big plus
Experience integrating with mobile analytics, push notifications and in app purchase systems is highly valued
Requirements
5+ years of backend engineering experience
Strong experience building backends that power mobile applications
Proven experience shipping real, revenue generating products
Ability to design clean, scalable and secure backend architectures
Strong understanding of distributed systems, performance and reliability
Experience working fully remote with clear, asynchronous communication
Ability to move fast, own your work and maintain engineering quality
